Entrepreneurship Immersion Program
The Entrepreneurship Immersion Programme (EIP) has been designed to provide aspiring student entrepreneurs the opportunity to study a course on entrepreneurship while undergoing an internship in a startup providing practical and experiential learning on how to become an entrepreneur.
Technopreneurship Study Mission
Technopreneurship Study Mission (TSM) is offered as part of the Technopreneurship track under the School of Information Systems (SIS). The track emphasizes immersive experiences as a TSM, a related internship, and requires students to identify and develop their own technology-based business innovation. The track is offered in collaboration with SMU Institute of Innovation & Enterpreneurship (IIE). For suitable projects, IIE shall be able to help students start a company based on their innovations and raise funds from various government agencies such as SPRING or from private sources.
Students who are interested in pursuing a technology-based business innovation leading a career of technology-based entrepreneurship will be benefit greatly from TSM. The TSM objectively allows students to understand the entrepreneurial landscape of many successful start-ups and companies and provides opportunity for interaction with the start-ups and companies during the one-week trip. Overall, it also allows students to identify the internship possibilities with the respective host.
Business Study Mission
Business Study Mission (BSM) is offered by the Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB). The BSM provide students with an opportunity to study a specific country’s developing relationship with Singapore. Students will also get to analyse and interact with the many successful start-ups and companies in the specific country during the course and the one-week trip. In addition, students will be able to understand topics relevant to companies, such as value proposition, competition and market trends, internationalization strategy and more.
Asian Youth Entrepreneurship Programme
Organised by Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, the inaugural Asian Youth Entrepreneurship Programme (AYEP) brings together 8-10 students from around the region and 8 SMU students for a cross cultural learning & experiential programme developed around entrepreneurship.
