James joined IIE with corporate experience as well as years leadership development with university students. At IIE, he helps students from SMU to gain exciting and career-defining exposure to the world of startups as part of the Global Innovation Immersion (GII) programme. He also co-chairs The Greenhouse team in IIE, building strategic partnerships within the local innovation ecosystem to benefit the SMU community.

Finally, he finds great fulfilment advising and championing various IIE student clubs such as the Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) club and the Artificial Intelligence club (SmuAI).

James is Korean-American and has made Singapore his home for the past 5+ years. He thoroughly appreciates the diversity of culture and cuisines here. He is an avid road cyclist and foodie.
