Cris Prystay

Cris began her career as a journalist, spending nine years with The Wall Street Journal across Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore before moving into communications as APAC Director of Corporate Communications at creative agency J. Walter Thompson. In 2017 she joined Sequoia Capital India & Southeast Asia (now Peak XV Partners) as its first Head of Content, where she worked with partners on thought leadership. She was also part of the founding team behind Surge, its accelerator, and Spark, its program for female founders. Most recently, she led communications for sustainability startup PCX Markets through her own consultancy, Reverb Communications. She brings with her a rare blend of storytelling instinct and ecosystem know-how.
Outside of work, Cris — who is Canadian — is happiest on a ski slope, under the sea scuba diving, or somewhere new with her husband and two teenagers in tow.
