About the
Singapore–India Hackathon (SIH)
Marking 61 years of Singapore–India diplomatic relations
The Singapore–India Hackathon brings together 120 students — 60 from Singapore and 60 from India — in 30 mixed-country teams to develop solutions to real industry challenges. Hosted alternately in Singapore and India by Institutes of Higher Learning, the programme connects the academic and start-up ecosystems of both countries through problem statements set by industry partners.
The 4th edition is hosted in Singapore by Singapore Management University (SMU), in collaboration with the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and takes place 15–17 November 2026. Previous editions have been held at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2018, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.
Participants compete for prizes and gain access to post-hackathon opportunities, including industry engagement, mentorship, and venture or academic pathways.
