Assistant Director
Hong Sang graduated from the National University of Singapore with Master of Science (by research) and have close to 16 years’ experience in grant and programme management, spanning 2 ministries, across various fields in Research, Innovation and Enterprise sector.
In his earlier Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) role at the National Research Foundation (NRF) from 2012 to 2013, he worked closely with VCs, fund managers to execute and administer investments in technology start-ups through NRF incubation and entrepreneurial talent schemes. Subsequently, as the MOE officer overseeing I&E funding for the Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs), he worked closely with the Innovation and Enterprise Offices (IEOs) to implement, operationalise and administer various MOE I&E funding support for AUs, Polytechnics and ITE from 2016-2021. Notable contributions include supporting the effort to spur more overseas entrepreneurial internships under the Global Innovation Alliance initiative.
In his free time, he enjoys jogging in nature parks, travelling and reconnecting with friends.
