Urban SustaInnovator (USI) was launched in September 2025 at the 12th Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition (LKYGBPC) by Minister for National Development Chee Hong Tat as a collaborative platform that brings together public, private and philanthropic partners to help global sustainability startups anchor in Singapore and scale across Asia.
Cohort 1
Cohort 1 consists of 7 startups selected from over 1500 applications across 91 countries and includes seven international startups developing breakthrough solutions in Urban Solutions and Sustainability (USS), including decarbonisation, energy transition, mobility and next-generation infrastructure.

Zero - Free & Equity Free
The programme is zero-fee and equity free. It is supported by venture capitalists, R&D leaders, corporates, and regulators. The programme provides in‑kind support, mentorship, and practical guidance on market access, fundraising, and pilot development, enabling founders to commercialise and expand their innovations from Singapore into Asia.
