Term Sheet & Financials
Course Outline
This one day workshop covers the fundamentals of term sheet navigation and negotiation. The program will be structured in a progressive manner starting with financial projections, to identifying appropriate funding sources, followed by deal structuring, and ending with term sheet negotiation.
Participants will learn the basics of business forecasting and financial projections for their start-ups, and relate that to the funding process. Term sheet contains the essentials of the deal structure and summaries the financial valuation of the firm, the interests of the founders and investors, and other protection & control rights.
The term sheet is usually one of the most contentious items between entrepreneurs and investors. This session will focus on understanding the terms and clauses that arises from a term sheet. Participants will benefit by acquiring knowledge on critical clauses that translate into business control and appreciate how it affects profitability.
