Narwhal Financial Services (Narfin) is a spin-off company from Singapore Management University (SMU) by Prof Alan Megargel in 2021. Narfin leverages licensed technology from SMU to empower fintech innovation and services. Their microservices architecture and API integration solutions minimize both capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operational expenditures (OPEX) for businesses.

 

Prof Megargel's innovation originated from his work on a teaching banking platform at SMU. With the support of commercialization grants and guidance from the Knowledge Transfer & Commercialisation (KTC) of IIE, he was able to transform this intellectual property into a commercially viable product.
