Chak Kong Soon

Chak has been part of the ICT industry for nearly four decades. His passion for building and nurturing organisations led him to collaborate with several prominent individuals to establish Stream Global Pte Ltd, with the objective of investing in, partnering with, and assisting entrepreneurs in realising their full potential. To achieve this, Stream Global assigns relevant partners and associates to work closely with entrepreneurs in every investment.

Chak is dedicated to advancing the ICM industry in Singapore. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the NTUC U-Care Fund, participates in the Academic Advisory Committees of several educational institutions, and chairs two of them. He also currently serves on various industry committees, including the Singapore Standards Council, the IT Standards Committee, and the Coordinating Committee for AI. He has also served as President of the Singapore Computer Society (2012–2014), and has been honoured as one of the 18 Honorary Fellows of the SCS. In 2019, his significant contributions to the industry were further recognised when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the IT Leaders Awards.

Chak is passionate about entrepreneurship and start-ups, as well as information technology, particularly in the areas of interactive digital media, Web 3, and artificial intelligence. He is also committed to ICT manpower development in Singapore. Accordingly, he volunteers his time with several educational institutions and non-profit organisations related to ICT professional and manpower development. Chak is also a Certified Professional Mentor (CPM) with the Asia Institute for Mentoring (AIM).
