Entrepreneurship Lunch Talk
How are Businesses Started?
More often than not, start-up emerges due to the local market environment. Example in 90’s, Singapore was the HDD/electronics manufacturing hub. Many suppliers emerged and they provide products/services to serve the MNC. Some had grown and gone regional with customers. Some had folded up as MNC moved away to cheaper manufacturing cost and locations.
In this talk, Mr Chng will address some burning questions to young and inexperienced entrepreneurs as to how/what/when to start up now in Singapore? And what sort of entrepreneur he/she wants to be?
• A simple café owner?
• A simple trading company owner?
• Or a high growth technology company?
Passion and viability are two different things. Mr Chng will share some valuable tips with start-ups, i.e. how to engage a mentor to save time and resources and navigate through tough time.
