Simon Lam is a Deputy CEO and General Manager, Business Development, Hong Kong and Taiwan of Munich Re Hong Kong Branch, responsible for Munich Re both Hong Kong and Taiwan’s life and health business operation. Simon has over 17 years of experience in life insurance industry and managing actuarial operations in both Hong Kong and Malaysia as Chief Actuary. He has also been an honorary lecturer in The University of Hong Kong’s Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science since 2008, an advisor in Hang Seng Management College’s Independent Accreditation Panel to develop its Insurance and Actuarial Science Program and was a guest lecturer and industrial advisor in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman from 2009 to 2010 in Malaysia. Besides, he is a member of Actuarial Working Group in The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers. Simon has served as Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (ASHK)’s council member since 2013. He is currently the President of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong.
