Mr Teo Swee Ann is the founder and CEO of Shanghai-listed semiconductor firm Espressif Systems. As an early entrant in IoT in Asia, Espressif has grown rapidly and profitably. Since its founding in 2008, the firm has expanded to India, Brazil, Singapore and the Czech Republic. He and his team focus on developing cutting-edge Wi-Fi-and-Bluetooth, low-power, Artifical Intelligence of Things (AIoT) solutions. As advocates of open source, they also provide open-source software to support the development of tomorrow's AIoT technology. Mr Teo was listed in Forbes’ list of Singapore’s 50 Richest in 2021. ​

Prior to founding his own firm in 2008, he worked with U.S. chipmakers Transilica and Marvell Technology Group and China's Montage Technology. Mr Teo graduated with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Minor in Law from National University of Singapore. He is also a member of SMU’s International Advisory Council. ​
