SenzIQ Pte Ltd emerged from the research conducted at Singapore Management University (SMU) focusing on Indoor Location Tracking & Analytics technology. This system utilizes Wi-Fi networks to track the movement of Wi-Fi enabled devices in real-time, providing venue operators with insights into how people move within indoor spaces. SenzIQ offers both retrospective and predictive analytics, enabling businesses to optimize space utilization and analyze traffic flow at events. Leveraging this technology, SenzIQ aims to help businesses understand and improve their spaces' functionality and efficiency, ultimately driving sustainability by reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint.
SenzIQ Pte Ltd is a spin-off from SMU. Prof. Balan commercialised his research as part of NRF-funded Live Labs Urban Lifestyle Innovation Platform and licensed the technology from SMU with the support of commercialisation grants and guidance from the Knowledge Transfer & Commercialisation of IIE.
