CHONG Yoke Sin

Dr. Chong is passionate about AI ethics advocacy and the digital transformation of key industries, including healthcare, education, finance, and insurance.
She serves on several boards, including as a Board Member of the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore, Independent Director at Wilmar International Ltd, Great Eastern Holdings, Anacle Ltd, and Mount Alvernia Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Chong is the Chair of the Portfolio Management Committee at A*Star and the Singapore Management University Advisory Council for the School of Computing and Information Systems. Formerly, she was the Managing Partner of iGlobe, a venture capital firm with a focus on Deep Tech, Biotech, and Fintech.
Dr. Chong is an SID-certified Senior Accredited Director and has held notable positions, including Immediate Past President of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and Chair of the SCS AI Ethics and Governance Council. She is also a contributing author to the SCS Body of Knowledge for Ethics in AI. Her prior board roles include SGEnable, NKF, Republic Polytechnic, Assisi Hospice, the CHIJ Schools Board of Management, and the Health Sciences Authority of Singapore.
Previously, Dr. Chong was the CEO of NCS and the founding CEO of IHIS (now Synapxe). For her contributions to the IT industry, she was inducted into the SCS Hall of Fame in 2023 and received the HIMSS Hall of Fame Award in 2016. She is a fellow of both the Singapore Computer Society and the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
