Nicole Yap

Nicole is a Venture Partner at Moonshot Ventures, a purpose-driven venture builder and early-stage investor in Southeast Asia. Their inaugural fund, The Indonesian Women Empowerment Fund (IWEF), supports women-led startups in order to bridge the gender gap, and is co-led by YCAB Ventures. In this role she leads fundraising efforts for the fund's $10M USD goal, portfolio management strategy, and strategic growth efforts to power expansion into regional markets. She is also an advisor for several impact-driven entrepreneurs with a focus on leadership development, growth, and fundraising. Prior to Moonshot Ventures, Nicole led Digitaraya, an early-stage accelerator for Indonesian startups, where she helped over 100 startups to raise $100M USD. In this role she closed and oversaw strategic partnerships with Google for Startups, McKinsey & Company and UBS, as well as local partners including Gojek, Tiket.com and BCA. Nicole holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, an MBA from HEC Paris, and a MSc in Management Studies from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
