Fu Tianpei
Senior Manager
Tianpei works on initiatives such as Urban SustaInnovator (USI) and the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition (LKYGBPC) at SMU IIE.
He brings over a decade of experience including academic research, manufacturing, deep-tech venture building, and the public sector. His work spans engineering analysis and failure investigations, technology due diligence, and the commercialisation of early-stage innovations. He has also contributed to public-sector efforts exploring promising technologies in sustainability and decarbonisation. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and a BSc in Chemistry.
With this multidisciplinary background, Tianpei is passionate about bridging the gap between research and commercialisation. He is excited to support innovators in translating promising technologies into market-ready solutions and delivering real-world impact.
Outside of work, Tianpei enjoys travelling to experience new cultures, explore diverse landscapes, and discover different cuisines.
