DOUG PERIS

Doug Peris is a business leader, entrepreneur, investor, and global start-up mentor with more than 20 years of experience helping founders and SME leaders navigate growth, international expansion, and fundraising. His work focuses on helping start-ups move from early traction to structured scale while supporting SME owners in strengthening operations and preparing their businesses for investment.

Doug founded four start-ups and achieved two exits, giving him direct experience across the venture lifecycle, from designing business models and securing early-stage funding to developing operating frameworks and executing go-to-market strategies. To date, he has mentored over 400 founders from more than 40 countries through venture-building programmes, incubators, and accelerators, supported by a wide network of investors and ecosystem partners.

Earlier in his career, Doug held senior executive leadership roles, leading organisations with up to 2,000 staff and managing budgets exceeding US$100M. He worked with enterprise and government leaders across banking, logistics, hospitality, and the public sector on digital transformation, cloud and data centre infrastructure, telecommunications, contact centre operations, and customer service platforms.

Today, Doug sits on advisory boards for companies in the United States, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, and Singapore. He also mentors founders through various university venture programmes in Singapore and regularly acts as an international judge for major venture competitions and pitch platforms across Asia.

He is a passionate advocate for business-for-good ventures working on environmental sustainability, underserved communities, global food security, food waste reduction, and health and mental wellness. His approach blends commercial thinking with practical operator experience to help companies build responsible and sustainable businesses.

Outside work, Doug enjoys cycling, rugby union, food writing, and beach holidays.
