Nick Lim
Senior Manager
Nick is a graduate of the National University of Singapore (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences). He began as a youth pastoral staff and music director in a local church where he mentored and journeyed with young people, many of whom were youths at risk. He then spent 8 years in the public sector, where he specialised in community engagement and strategic communications, working closely with Grassroots Advisers to craft and launch meaningful outreach campaigns that connected with residents from all walks of life. Along the way, Nick also developed a passion for supporting startups and helping them succeed in Singapore’s innovation ecosystem, something he strongly believes will be the tip of the spear for the nation’s next big breakthrough globally, so when the SMU IIE train called, he knew he had to jump on.
When not at work, Nick is a musician and martial artist. He holds a certificate from Berklee Online College of Music, and you might catch him playing live music over the weekend. He is also a Brazilian Jiujitsu brown belt with over 11 years of training and competition.
