Daniel Charles is an entrepreneur and operator with experience in building, scaling, and restructuring companies across multiple industries. His work focuses on operational leadership, venture building, and growing businesses through disciplined execution and systems thinking. He has worked across sectors including motorsport, aviation technology, and investment-backed portfolio companies, combining hands-on operating experience with exposure to global investment environments.
Daniel began his entrepreneurial journey early, founding and scaling a motorsport distribution and racing experience company that partnered with international racing brands and organized corporate driving programs and training events. The business expanded to serve global clients and major corporate partners before he eventually exited the company to pursue larger operational opportunities.
He later joined the private investment office of entrepreneur Richard Chandler at the Clermont Group, where he worked on complex operational and investment projects across the portfolio. During this time he managed turnaround situations, led operational restructuring initiatives, and worked closely with investors and management teams on strategy and execution.
Daniel subsequently moved into the aviation and advanced technology sector, where he played a key role in rebuilding teams and managing product development programs for electric aviation initiatives. His work included helping assemble leadership teams, coordinating global supply chains, and supporting the development of electric propulsion aircraft programs, including milestones such as the world’s first electric seaplane and winning a multi-year $75 million NASA contract.
He later pursued an MBA at MIT as an MIT ASEAN Scholar, where he focused on entrepreneurship, venture building, and the acquisition and scaling of small and medium-sized companies.
Today, Daniel focuses on building and operating companies while supporting founders and operators in scaling businesses and developing strong operational foundations.
