Their inaugural fund, The Indonesian Women Empowerment Fund (IWEF), supports women-led startups in order to bridge the gender gap, and is co-led by YCAB Ventures. In this role she leads fundraising efforts for the fund's $10M USD goal, portfolio management strategy, and strategic growth efforts to power expansion into regional markets. She is also an advisor for several impact-driven entrepreneurs with a focus on leadership development, growth, and fundraising.

Heoi Bin has more than 20 years of experience working in the statutory board, private sector, and IHL before joining SMU. Her roles in SMU include handling procurement, annual budget, rolling forecasts, grants, fixed asset management, reviewing processes, and providing guidance and advisory on financial & compliance matters. She is a Professional Business Accountant and holds ACCA Professional and ISCA Financial Forensic Accounting qualifications.

In her free time, she loves traveling with her family and enjoys playing pétanque with friends.

Raymond Choong has an extensive strategic and hands-on financial and operational experience working with technology companies. He has been a director and advisor in a number of early-stage technologies startups and has in-depth knowledge in a broad range of technologies. His main interests are with early to middle stage high-tech companies, as both an angel/LP investor and mentor.
